Vinnie Omari has been arrested due to connections with funds stolen from PayPal during the summer of 2014 but not in direct connection of the winter DDoS attacks towards Xbox Live and PSN.

Omari has denied the charges of PayPal theft but has admitted he is the spokesman for Lizard Squad—quickly assuring he was not responsible for the PayPal hacks.

There was a second person questioned affiliated with Lizard Squad, a 17-year-old going by “Ryan,” which is being questioned by Finland’s National Bureau of Investigation but no arrest.

Omari told Daily Dot, “They took everything, Xbox One, phones, laptops, computer USBs, etc.”

A press release from the Thames Valley Police also shows that a 22-year-old male from Twikenham was arrested December 30 “on suspicion of fraud by false representation and Computer Misuse Act offenses.” He is set for court in March 2015.

Lizard Squad took responsibility for the DDoS attacks and is still thought to be responsible for the attacks on Xbox Live and PSN, but this cannot be proven.
