A Closer Look At Uncharted 4: A Theif's End
Naughty Dog announced Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End gameplay during the PlayStation Experience last weekend, but Naughty Dog gave fans a closer look into how PS4 allowed the studio to boost Nathan Drake’s visual appearance.
During the panel, “Modeling Nathan Drake: Bringing an Iconic Character to PS4,” Naughty Dog artists and modelers offered a behind-the-scenes look at how they built the new Drake.
Part of the presentation included Uncharted 3 comparisons seen below.
Naughty Dog says they are aiming for a “filmic, cinematic” look for Uncharted 4, which is shown in the Drake character.
Drake on Uncharted 4 is more aged as his face is broken and busied with a pained expression. At the PlayStation Experience, the presentation was more about technical advancements rather than the game’s story. Naughty Dog has said previously, however, that Uncharted 4 will be “more personal” of a story that dives into “what kind of effect this journey has on [Drake] and the people around him."
