After an intense weekend of teams battling we come out with a winner. FaZe has for the first time, secured the championship over Denial with undoubtedly one of the best Finals this season of play. Denial and FaZe traaded maps back and forth, bringing it down to a game 5 in both series. FaZe showed their resilence ad took down the UMG Dallas Champs in some of the closest games that could’ve went either way.

What made the finals so entertaining?

1v3 Clutches, from each side coming from Zoomaa on Denial and Apathy on FaZe
Studyy’s Ace vs FaZe on Octane Dom
Denial Saints +30 dominance in every respawn
Censor’s Amazing overall performance
Reunited Impact Duo Karma and Parasite dropping serious numbers
Pretty much every match going down to the wire
Intensity from both teams
Crowd backing FaZe’s road to their 1st championship win

It all paid off in the end! Now if only that bomb glitch can get patched before Season 3 league Playoffs this week!

Upsets and Surprises.

Pool A- Most Wanted defeated Curse and Heavy favorites Optic Nation (who also lost to Curse). This isn’t too much of a surprise if you recall my previous predictions article.

Pool B- This pool featured the last 2 champions nV and Denial as well as Noble. While Denial winning the pool wasn’t an upset, nV being beat by Noble in a dominating fashion was. nV pulled themselves together on Day 2 and beat Denial 3-0, which didn’t amount to much as Denial had already won the pool.

Pool C- (referred to by the casters as the “Pool of Death” featured EG, Optic Gaming and Rise. Rise beats Optic and goes to game 5 vs EG, ultimately winning the pool.

Pool D- Went as predicted FaZe winning 3-0 as I stated this was the easiest pool, even though TK put up a great fight.

After pool play the matches for winners bracket were set MW vs FaZe and Denial vs Rise. Denial and Most Wanted were victorious and secured Top 3 placements in the tournament and simultaneously setting up an explosive Winners Final Match. Down in the losers bracket some heavy titans were facing off. Optic Nation was eliminated early, Optic Gaming took out EG, Rise taking out Optic Gaming only to fall to FaZe who ended Most Wanted’s hope of a Grand Final rematch vs Denial. In the end FaZe emerges victorious and now we prep for the final Ghosts tournament, Season 3 League Playoffs. That preview coming up next.
