So Here's the layout for UMG nashville. On Friday there's going to be Pool Play, the top 2 teams out of Pool play will advance to the championship bracket, while the loser of the brack still advances in losers bracket. Each pool is comprised of 3 teams. Once pool play is completed, it sets up the bracket for the rest of the torunament. Here's how ths pools break down.
Pool A Pool B Optic Nation(1st seed) Denial Esports (2nd seed) Most Wanted (8th seen) Team Envyus (7th seed) Team Curse (9th seed) Noble Gaming (10th seed) Pool C Pool D Evil Geniuses (3rd seed) Team Kaliber (4th seed) Optic Gaming (6th seed) FaZe Clan (5th seed) Rise Nation 11th seed) Salvo Gaming (12th seed)
1st place in each pool gets put in semi final bracket which is a guaranteed T6 placing, everyone else drops to losers bracket further along according to 2nd, 3rd & Last in their Pool. Top 4 open bracket teams in open bracket winners becomes last team in pool play. Not taking anything away from Open bracket teams, Let's start with the teams that I believe will win the pool and advance to the winners bracket play.
Pool A its really close, but I believe that Most Wanted will pull the upset and make it into the Top 6. Optic Nation is everyone's favorite and while they definitely can beat MW, I'm basing my decision on if Nation can force a Game 5. If somehow Nation wins a respawn, then they can take the pool. If not it's Most Wanted's Day
Pool B- This is maybe the hardest pool to predict for me. With all my heart I want to say Denial is going to take this but I just can't. Neither can I say that nV is going to take the pool. They both have so much to prove this weekend (reference the team overview). For the Sake of picking a team I'm just going to go with Denial since they won the last event. However, nV is not going to be an easy task and can take the pool as well.
Pool C- Is another major pool. Between Optic and EG, I am going to say that Optic is going to take it. Although EG will come out swinging as this is their last tourney of the season for ghosts, you know they want to win it. But in the end with the roster change and delicate team chemistry, EG may not rise to the occasion and Optic should win this pool.
Pool D- Is a no brainer, FaZe should take this pool. TK has simply not being performing up to par, and along with EG and Curse, this is their last event for Ghosts since neither team advanced to the COD Season 3 League Playoffs. I don't expect them to be easy but I subsequently do not expect them to win the pool. GGs FaZe! Top 8 Predictions! These are my placings. Keep in mind that due to the format the order may change, but this is my realistic expectation.
8th- Team Kaliber - The boys of TK won't clinch a T4 placing in my opinion
7th- EG- I don't believe EG can win this tournament, Plain and simple. They may rise a little furthur than my predictions but all in all GGs EG!
6th- Most Wanted - If Most Wanted wins their pool then they may take p to 4th place. But anything beyond that is unforeseeable to me.
5th- Optic Gaming- Many people have them as the team to beat after their training camp with Red Bull. To me Optic will not make it to the grand finals but can place up to 3rd place!
4th- FaZe- I think this strong FaZe line will make it out of their pool. The problem is once they receive a lost it may be GGs for them!
3rd- Optic Nation- If Nation doesn't win their pool, then theyre going on a Loser's bracket run no question.
2nd- Team Envyus- To me probably the best team in the game right now, but can they beat Denial? This series without a doubt can go either way!
1st- Denial- I'm giving Denial the first place spot because I know they're dying to prove that Dallas was real. But if they don't Turn up nV will reclaim the crown! These are my predictions for UMG Nashville. Given the fact that we do not know how pool play will turn out, there's room for the placings to change. But for the most part these are my top 8 teams, with Noble being interchangeable for TK. What do you think? Who will shine? Who will fall flat? and Who will win? What Open Bracket Teams Should We Look Out For?
